How to set the scene for your movie nights

For a really easy way to set up your movie night, why not try creating a scene in Somfy’s TaHoma app? With the touch of a button or a simple voice command, you can have everything ready before you can say ”Lights, camera, action!”.

Of course, what you can do with the app depends on what smart solutions you have in your home. That might mean you can’t take advantage of all of the tips below, but at least you can get an idea of the possibilities a smart home can offer. Have fun!

Here’s how you can get started

Create a scene in the TaHoma app that:

• draws your curtains or closes your blinds
• dims the lights as far as you want, changes them to your preferred colour or switches them off completely
• pulls down your home cinema screen or turns on your TV
• locks your front door and closes your garage door (if you haven’t already done so)
• turns down the heating so it doesn’t get too warm

There are a few different ways you can activate your scene:

• Programme the scene so it can be controlled by one of the two buttons on your TaHoma switch
• Use a Scenario Player and set it to activate the scene using the touch button
• Activate the scene directly from your mobile phone
• Use a voice command to tell your smart speaker to activate the scene
